ECSF contributes to
The global fight against cancer by acting as a model on Comprehensive Cancer Prevention and Care Services and by providing services benefiting communities through Simple Nutrition Care (Changing Lifestyle), Counseling, Physiotherapy/ Massage, Telephone Helpline and Support Group/Storytelling Therapy Models which have since been endorsed by many cancer survivors.
Because of its reliance on community’s own resource persons for implementation, Ebenezer Cancer Support Foundation has developed an advocacy and community education model for behavior/lifestyle change that fits well in the unique local contexts of its target geographic areas.
More specifically, ECSF provides:
-
Nutrition: Being the backbone of good health, nutrition is
the key ingredient to surviving cancer. The program will have
a high impact due to the simple and most successful recipe
the foundation has developed to boost the immunity and
health of the many cancer patients and survivors.

-
Psychosocial support/Counseling Therapy: The patients
and survivors are guided through a practical approach to a
Psycho-Social Services Module that is very experiential in
nature and builds resilience. Establishing and strengthening
an integrated support group for patients, survivors and
family members at the household level.

-
Massage/Physiotherapy: This is the most therapeutic
segment of the program with very influential results and
relaxing effects on the patients who go through long hours
of chemotherapy.

community health workers, nutritionists and patients on
good nutrition, lifestyle change, Pyschosocial Support,

"Many of us are touched by cancer at one point in our lives, whether we have been diagnosed or know of someone who has been regardless of whether its yourself, family member, a friend, or a person in the community.
Cancer diagnoses can bring painful experience, shock, grief, and fear are just some of the emotions you may deal with. Battling cancer is one of the hardest thing and finding the strength to smile each day can't be easy. Staying strong is tough and every step forward is one in the right direction. Though you can not control what life throws at you, it doesn't mean that you can not control how you handle it.
Cancer is not a death sentence, together we can fight cancer".
